Lead Validation Checklist: Quality, Duplicates and Acceptance

Validate the required fields

Decide which fields are necessary before ordering. Check each delivered record for field completeness, expected formats and a usable enquiry timestamp. A syntactically valid email address does not prove the mailbox exists or that the person consented to your outreach.

Validate market and purpose

Compare the recorded market, language and campaign source with your order. A record from an unsupported region or unrelated product funnel may not meet the brief even when its contact details look complete. Keep an agreed record of rejection reasons.

Check duplicates fairly

Define the duplicate key and look-back period in writing. Email and phone-based identifiers may each create different results; formatting and international prefixes matter. Do not count records as invalid merely because two people share a surname or location.

Handle disputes and remedies

Provide the order reference, affected record identifiers and discrepancy type through a secure support channel. Do not post personal contact data publicly. The applicable correction, replacement or refund decision should follow the actual agreed order terms, not an assumed universal guarantee.
